Bergen County Sheriff's Youth Leadership Academy

There seems to be some confusion about this weekend and the Turkey Plunge. It has been cancelled unfortunately by the Special Olympics and this info has been passed on at the last 2 classes to all cadets. One of the main characteristics we try to teach all of our cadets is responsibility, and coming home and informing our parents/guardians of schedule changes, important info and new events seems to be lacking by some. Communication is very important. This Saturday we will be in Mahway at the Police Academy, the day’s events will start at 0830 hrs and conclude at 1pm. Arrive in your class A uniform and make sure you have your PT gear and water bottles. Effective immediately any cadet not attending a scheduled event MUST email Sergeant James Lapp at jlapp@bcsd.us and myself at nnazare@bcsd.us with the reason for your absence, most cadets have done this on their own and we appreciate it. With the cold arriving we understand sickness comes more frequently, and other unforeseen events arise but constant communication is a must to run a smooth program. We are very proud of each and every cadet that is part of this program and we will continue to strive for perfection, anything less for our future leaders wouldn’t be acceptable. Remember to have a healthy breakfast and gets lots of rest. See everyone Saturday!
