Hello everyone, if you are looking to donate an unwrapped toy for toys for tots. please drop it off at the Bergen County Jail no later than midnight on Tuesday night. Please enter the jail as you normally would for class, there will be a box filed with toys right on the inside left of the door. If there is no one to let you in, just hit the button on the wall and let them know you are dropping a toy off for the leadership academy.

If you would like to participate in the toys for tots program on Wednesday morning, please wear your class A uniform and be at Closter Fire house, located 100 Ruckman Rd. Closter NJ at 9:00am -approx noon. We only need a max of ten volunteers. I know some of you have reached out to me already but please do so again via a text message. 201-538-2430. Hello everyone due to inclement weather December 17th class will be cancelled. December 21st Toys for Tots is still on. The uniform will be class A and he time and location to follow. This is a volunteer day and is not mandated by any means. Community service hours will be given. I will send out an email on Monday in regards to December 21st particular info also we are still collecting toys I will let you know a day to drop off the toys for the Toys for Tots program. thank you and everyone have a safe weekend

Hello every one, I hope everyone is enjoying the Holiday Season. Our next training is December 17, at 8am at the Police Academy in Mahwah. If you are able to donate a toy to toys for tots please bring it with you on this day. The toy must be new unwrapped and in the box. Also we have been invited to volunteer in the PBA Holiday Party to benefit under privileged children. Unfortunately this event occurs during the school week and during school hours. It is Wednesday December 21, during the hours of 9am-3pm. If any one happens to be available on that day and would like to participate please let me know as soon as possible via email subject line (PBA PARTY). You also don’t have to be available for that entire day.

Hello everyone. The Bergen County Sheriff’s Department is conducting its annual turkey drive. If you would like to donate a Turkey to families in need, please bring a Frozen Turkey to Saturday November 19, 2016 class.

TURKEYS MUST BE SEALED UNCOOKED AND FROZEN.

Last year we donated approximately Twenty Turkeys. I hope to do the same this year.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED____Sunday November 20, I am asking any or all cadets to volunteer their time to help families in need. We will be meeting at 9:00am at 125 Atlantic street in Hackensack. It is known as the Friendship house. Volunteers from the Youth Academy will be helping other volunteers to package Thanksgiving baskets for families in need. This detail should be over around noon. Parents please be available for pick up earlier if the detail ends sooner.

If a cadet is able to volunteer on this day please e-mail me to let me know that you can so I can get some what of a headcount. I only have about four cadets so far.
