Good morning everyone. I hope we all are enjoying our summer vacations. I wanted to touch base on a couple of topics.
1st I regrettably have to announce that we will not be doing the inflatable obstacle course race this year, this is due to a lack in cadet participation. We only have five cadets interested in running. If you have sent me a check, I will be voiding it and shredding it. The checks will not be cashed. If you gave me cash I will have it for you the next time I see you.
2nd, if you would like to order any apparel please complete a form and mail me it with a check by Aug-15. (160 South River Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601) Attn to: Sgt. James Lapp. Please in the notes let me know if you want your name on the back of the T-shirts. (T-shirts only). You will find the apparel form attached to this posting. Also ask friends and family if they would like to purchase anything.
3rd, let your friends know about the program, see if we can get some more people to join. We already have ten new recruits let’s get that number to twenty.
4th and final thing, GO ENJOY YOUR SUMMER! Stay active, stay healthy, and stay happy. Summer will be over before you know it and we will be back at it. Please stay in touch, check in periodically, and as always feel free to contact me for whatever the reason may be. Our swearing in ceremony is most likely going to be held on September 18th, or 26th.
Please be advised that there is NOT a meeting on the 7th. The Eastern State Penitentiary trip to PA on the 18th is the next and final meeting of this year. Please arrive at the jail by 0730. The bus will leave at 0750 and we Can Not wait for anyone. We will arrive back at 2pm. Dont forget lunch and a drink.
Saturday June 27th training will be held at Hackensack Fire Headquarters. They are located at 205 State St, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
Please arrive at 0830 hours sharp wearing your PT Gear. You do not need your class A uniform for this training. Please make sure to bring water as well. Look forward to seeing you all on Saturday.
July 25, 2015 we will be taking a trip to Eastern State Penitentiary in Pennsylvania. There will be no charge to you. We are to meet at 8am at the Bergen County Jail and will not return until approximately 2pm. Please bring a packed lunch and snacks for the day. Uniform of the day will be the class A uniforms, please have your hats. This is one of the oldest penitentiaries and it is said to be haunted. Al Capone was once locked up there. I hope all can make it..
Voluntary 5k run. If we have enough people interested our group will be joining in on the fun and running in the Insane Inflatable 5k Obstacle Course. This will take place on September 12, 2015. If you are interested in running in this event you must I repeat MUST bring in a check for $52 at our next meeting or before June 18,2015. Again this is not a mandatory meeting but an addition fun event that we can participate in. You can check it out at http://insaneinflatable5k.com/

Tuesday June 9ths class will be postponed until June 16th 630pm-9pm it will be held at the jail. The class will observe a demonstration by the regional swat team.
