Thank you to all of the cadets who participated, or at least attempted to participate, in the Holiday Toy Drive. We had a great turn out and can therefore help several families in need this holiday season. Keep up the great work!

Happy Holidays!

The Toy Drive Collection Date has been moved to December 12, 2011. (An updated version of the flyer is now available for you to re-print to bring to your schools and libraries)

Toys collected will be due at the December meeting, December 14. For anyone who needs the toys to be picked up from your collection sites, you must contact Officer Mehnert at(201) 336-3540 BEFORE the 14th!!!

I can not stress enough how important it is that you emphasize at all of your collection sites that we are collecting NEW, UNWRAPPED TOYS. If you receive any GENTLY used toys, you can take them, but make sure you sort them before you bring them to the meeting. We want to keep the new and used donations separate.

Once again, the purpose of this Toy Drive is to deliver NEW toys to underpriviled families. Please make sure that you collect NEW toys!!!!

If you have any questions, problems, or concerns with your drives, feel free to contact me!

A Reminder to all cadets,

Please remember to start your Toy Collections for the Holiday Season at your school/libraries, etc. If more than one cadet attends a school or lives in the same town, partner up with that cadet for the collection drive.

Make sure you get the proper approval within your schools/library/etc. before setting up the collection. You may want to collect through different school orginizations like Key Club or National Honor Society.

You may also want to see if your school can donate any large boxes. In the past, we have found that large, collection boxes make the collecting a little easier.

ALL DONATIONS ARE DUE AT THE FIRST DECEMBER MEETING. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE COLLECTING NEW TOYS!!!!!!!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. You can also contact Officer Mehnert at (201) 336-3540 with any further questions or concerns about the event.

Best of Luck with your Collection drives!

I just wanted to drop a note to let you know that Cadet Danii Laube has gone a step further with her support of the Special Olympics of NJ. She has volunteered to serve as a field assistant this Sunday down in Lawrenceville, NJ for the Fall Sports Festival. Although Danii knows nothing about soccer (she is a dye-hard softball catcher) her job will be to get the balls that go foul and to assist the refs on calls whether a ball is in or out of bounds. What better way to understand this Organization then to get out there and play with them for the day! Awesome job Danii!!!!!!
